I must have hit a button

I have several tabs open this afternoon. 3 of which were youtube tabs!
I hear this familiar "notification" sound and then I notice a red dot on one of the youtube tabs.
What is that? Did someone send me a note? Do I have a notifcation?
I cannot figure it out until my mouse icon moves over the youtube tab and it informs me that "This tab is recording"
What. Why. How.
Ugh.
So wierd.
Edit: It was the "Search with your voice" button!!!!!! (Microphone symbol)
