Re: New Star Trek Series (CBS All Access)
ROCKS. LOTS OF ROCKS. SPACE ROCKS ARE THE NEW THEME OF TREK.
Re: New Star Trek Series (CBS All Access)
Is CBS All Access something one has to pay for?
Either way, while it's good they're doing a new Star Trek series, I'm not exactly happy about it being an online only thing.

Yes it's an online subscription service at CBS.com. It's $5.99 a month, or at least it was last year.
I subsribe because it's the only way to get the Big Brother Live Feeds every summer.

Re: New Star Trek Series (CBS All Access)
I won't be paying $5.99 a month to CBS.
I'll be glad to watch a Star Trek series on broadcast tv though!

Re: New Star Trek Series (CBS All Access)
They are going to show the premiere on regular TV to tease people, but the rest goes online.
Re: New Star Trek Series (CBS All Access)
I will have to debate whither I bother with even watching that, if the rest of it just goes online.

There will always be ways to "acquire" the episodes.

CBS’ New STAR TREK Series Adds Three Writers, Including A STAR TREK Novelist & A TNG/DS9 Vet!!
Published at: June 4, 2016, 1:35 a.m. CST by hercules
I am – Hercules!!
The three newcomers to the CBS All Access streaming Star Trek writers room are:
1) Joe Menosky, who wrote or co-wrote 56 hours of “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” and “Star Trek: Voyager,” including “Time’s Arrow” and “Year of Hell.”
2) Kirsten Beyer, who in 2009 (the year of the first J.J. Abrams “Star Trek” movie) launched a new series of Star Trek novels depicting the adventures of Starfleet admiral Kathryn Janeway, Voyager captain Chakotay, Voyager first officer Tom Paris, Voyager security officer Harry Kim, U.S.S. Galen chief medical officer The Doctor, fleet chief engineer B’Elanna Torres and Starfleet Academy professor Seven of Nine following their returns to the Alpha Quadrant.
3) Aron Eli Coleite, the “Crossing Jordan” vet who worked alongside Byran Fuller as a writer on NBC’s “Heroes.”
The trio joins two other members of the new Trek writers room:
4) Showrunner Bryan Fuller, the DS9/Voyager vet who created “Dead Like Me,” “Wonderfalls,” “Pushing Daisies” and “Hannibal”; and
5) “Time After Time” writer-director Nicholas Meyer, who scripted “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan,” “Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home” and “Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.”
Interestingly, Beyer’s novels depict the simultaneous adventures of a fleet of four Federation vessels, all under the command of Kathryn Janeway. A promo for CBS’ new Trek series promised the arrival of “new crews” rather than that of a “new crew.”
CBS All Access begins streaming Fuller’s mysterious new Trek series in January.

Fuck Voyager.
Re: New Star Trek Series (CBS All Access)
Voayager was okay except for when it wasn't. And everything that was wrong about it was Braga's fault. Because all he was really thinking about all day in the writers' room was Jeri Ryan's gazongas.

Well that's all I was thinking about at the time but I never did anything as stupid as writing 11:59.
Re: New Star Trek Series (CBS All Access)
The guy who wrote the episode “Year of Hell.” is not exactly a draw.

Still no mention of "sexy robots" anywhere.
