It's pretty windy here (as well as snowy).

I have confirmed that Cassie is surving the 50 degree heat I mean cold, I mean, she has socks and flip flops on!

The snow/ice pellets have tapered off for now.

I was finally able to address some of the drafts in the house and now I am sweating.

I'm fine. I hibernated this weekend, but the weather was relatively tame. Some rain, traces of snow, it's in the 20s now around midnight.

By the way I learned on FB yesterday that lakergirl dropped a jar of pickles while I accidentally dropped 3 eggs yesterday.

Just after I posted this early AM, the power went out.

I have only myself to blame. I took my headlamp off and put it on my nightstand thinking, "I won't need this tonight"
I've been pretty much been wearing one around my neck since the time the power went out and I didn't have any light on me.

It's 68 here and so humid that everything is covered with dampness. It's supposed to drop into the 30s tonight, I think. I look at the forecast constantly (because of the pond, I don't want Bertha to freeze), but it's like my brain can't hold onto the information. I think one night this weekend it is supposed to freeze for at least 4 hours. We haven't had a freeze yet this winter. It's the weirdest fucking winter. Anyway, a couple days ago I refortified the hay wall I built around the pond, it had mushed down a bit from all the rain we are having this year. Normally the winter is pretty dry. I guess it's because of el nino or el nina I CAN'T REMEMBER WHICH ONE.

My brain can't hold all the weather forecast/advisory OH NO SNOW information either.

I tried to make today a 2 layer day and it is still a 3 layer day and I'm glad I did because my office is cold, I have a little space heater by me to keep warm when I am sitting at the computer.

We're supposed to get freezing rain later today.

Hmmmm I think the west side has the freezing rain. Today I have fluffy snow that I can sweep away wih a broom, its fun. My friend who teaches in a town near Seattle said she was closed today, schools cancelled and she said it seemed like a sheet of ice out there. Now I want to watch/listen to the news. Its always exciting on days like this.
