Cassie do you have heat lamps for your chickens?

It is just gray here. More dirt than snow. I have a mound for f snow that turned to ice on my front path since I wasn't here to manage it when it first snowed.

No, I just wrap their coop in tarps and sheets. They are old ladies, so they can tolerate the cold better than babies.

I always think of that I Love Lucy episode where Lucy and Ethel bought 500 baby chicks before Fred had the henhouse ready, and they had to keep them in the house and turn the heat up to 90+ until the hatchery could send over some brooders...
