We have Trumpeter Swans that winter here. Yesterday I counted 28.

Trumpeter Swans can just visit the duck and geese threads, to make them jealous.

I have counted a total of 30 swans on the lake

And a bunch of other water fowl. If I can get my ass out of bed I will go observe them this morning

Last week I sighted geese on the local golf course and some YOUNG geese at the local liberal arts college.

I keep forgetting to post sightings (I blame The Shifty Moon). Geese sighted at the standard places (golf course, liberal arts college, flying over neighborhoods) in the past several weeks.

Today:

1) Two geese sighted on grounds of apartment complex for elders. Probably waiting for them to DIE!

2) Young geese sighted on golf course. NOT EVEN PLAYING!

3) Very large group of young geese at liberal arts college! TAKE YOUR GEEESE TRUST FUND AND GO AWAY!

Imagining geese playing golf is fun. An animal golf course sounds fun. Golf courses are dumb! Sorry if anyone here plays golf. Does anyone here plaly golf?

The swan count is down from 30 to 7. I saw some scaups today......I think...they weren't coots, that is for sure!

That is a lot of geese.

There are now 2 more swans, I mean geese (really swans) on the lake making for 14 total and other water fowl.
