It's actually pleasant here in Floridaland. Of course your idea of a heatwave is just normal temps for us in the summertime. BUT we are a few degrees below that right now and it's nice!

It is actually pretty cold here right now, but I leave my window open anyway.
Highs have been in the 60's lows in the 30/40's with a dusting of snow still happening on the mountain tops.
But this is really nice sauna weather! It was 200 degrees in there tonight! Whew!

Yesterday was much nicer - especially for peeps working in gardens - 19 C. But dry dry dry. I planted some portulacas in my own garden last night and it was light moving dust around. I may have to break down and water my front garden so the transplants don't craok. Can't remember when i did that last.

It was so cold I lit a fire in the fireplace yesterday! Also, it rained all Canada Day, but did clear up for the fireworks. Today looks clear and beautiful, and I'll take cool over humid anytime.
