The Last BBS

I was visiting family last week-a couple of days ago, and I had a friend pick me up and when I got in the car I said, "OMG is it your son's birthday today?" and she said, "no, that is next month"
I actually thought it was September already.

I somehow forgot a shift last week at the theater. MIssed it all together. Had no idea I was on the schedule.

I can't remember what I did last week.

I can't remember yesterday. Just kidding I remember parts of it. I can't remember this morning.

IS THIS NORMAL? IS IT OLD AGE??

I know I have been working way too much and had other things going on, but I think I could seriously say that I am losing my mind-also I thought about posting this in several of the different forums here SO YOU WOULD ALL REALLY THINK I HAD LOST IT!

I think most adults go thorugh this during the summer months, especially August. This is because secretly, we never get over the fact that we used to have summers off as schoolkids. Working year-round subconsciously seems perverse as we enter the summer months. And we each manifest it in different ways.

The answer is for the world to start taking summers off again. Once everyone does that, we'll all be fine!

The pandemic has made time all wibbly wobbly.

One week ago, my work shift was drastically different than any other. I rode on one boat, got off that boat before ever reaching the end of the journey and boarded another boat that was headed in the opposite direction. I think that is when my vortex happened. I never finished the original journey, until today when i was on that same boat again, but this time I stayed on the boat and watched as the other made its voyage downlake. My week is now complete and I can go back to being normal now.

Just kidding nothing will ever be "normal" again, there is no normal it does not exist anymore.

Boats can not be trusted.

August of last year we had no active fires in the area-they waited patiently until Labor Day weekend. This year August said, "HA! You thought you were going to escape an August without fires!? I'll show you! I have to make up for last year too! Take that!"

No inanimate object can fully be trusted. It is all about the operators.

August 16th is like a black hole day for the world -- Elvis died, Aretha Franklin died, plus it's Madonna's birthday.

I went to a family function yesterday and then slept at my moms house last night. Between yesterday's activities and my dreams I am not sure which is real.
