You are 8 games back, but you are 9 games over .500. You're only 4 games back in the Wild Card standings.

Meanwhile the Mets have cratered to .500 ball. even tho they're only 3.5 games back (because their whole division sucks). But they don't have the Wild Card option. Either they win the division or they have a long quiet winter...
