Snow.
We have snow.
And I'm not even that upset by it.
I just have to make 2, two mile trips to the dock and back. 2 trips. I can do it.

I decided not to put my kayak on the car that will go to the barge this week. I sort of want to, but also, I really don't-mostly because I think I will look like an idiot driving around town with a kayak on my car. srsly. Also, is it even safe? Also I really wanted to do it anyway, but really my hands are already feeling cold just thinking about it.

Yeah, no uniform required. Tho my coworker dresses decently I will feel underdressed!

Yesterday I felt like I looked like a homeless person on the boat. ALSO-I wore my rubber boots in the snow and forgot to bring my other shoes w/ me, they will arrive on Wednesday in my vehiicle when it gets barged up. I will show a picture of the Landing, which would appropriately be called "town". I believe there are 60-75 residents here year round and probably in the winter much less as many have not returned yet.

I didn't bring my kayak up yet.

LOL

I will keep an eye on that river Dr Dave!

Here is the landing. That is the lodge and the little store and restaurant. They open later this month.

I did see some cross country tracks. The backcountry skiers go to Holden Village it seems, I don't know why. That is interesting now that I think of it-OH maybe because they actually have more lodging and food available in the winter? Not sure.
Those people are hearty-a big group comes up every year and they bring thier babies and kids all bundled up. The skies they use are fatter than normal downhill skis and they hike up the mountain and ski down-or they can use the skiis to hike up too. It looks fun.....I may like to do it...someday, but I have snow shoes and that is fine for me.

I went outside to see if I could see the moon
and discovered about 3 inches on the ground already.
