One thing that seems to work for me is to use as many of the vowels up as possible in the first couple of guesses. Narrowing down the vowels helps a lot with guessing the word if you have a couple of yellow consonants showing...

Okay-CNN needs to improve its headlines. "Woman held hostage. Rescued after daughter didn't et Wordle score"

I had to read other headlines to understand that her daugher didn't get a daily update from her mom-so she got worried and found out she was being held hostage!!!

But she also hadn't responded to text messages.....
Its a really awful story, but luckily she is okay. She lives in Illinois and her daughter is in Seattle.
