This time of year works out well for me, since I am distracted by the Australian Open (tennis) while I'm waiting for pitchers and catchers to report.

I can't say I'm disappointed that Carlos Beltran won't be the Mets manager after all (thanks to being associated with the Astros scandal) -- I never saw that as something that would work out in the long run. But I do feel bad for him to have this mark on his legacy.

I'm surprised we haven't heard more announcements from MLB.

They're probably desperately trying to come up with a solution other than to hold games without stadium audiences. Because they would have to stop their awful practice of blacking out local games in all markets in their TV contracts. The whole broadcast licensing system would have to change overnight.

MLB suspends operations, delays the start of the regular season at least 2 weeks - PIX11

Plus Gov. Cuomo banned gatherings of more than 500 people in NY state, so we'll see which ban lasts longer...

Luckily, the new season of RuPaul's Drag Race was taped last summer, so it can be enjoyed without interruption.

Although, they still have to tape the season finale to announce the winner (probably in June) -- hopefully TV will be back on its feet by then.
