I couldn't scarf that down if I wanted to.

I complimented a lady on her scarf the other day and she told me she was wearing it to cover up her "old person" neck. So I have that to look forward to.

Welcome to my life, the place of oversharing.
Also at the bank we make people feel welcome and able to share about anything!
Like "What are you doing with that check Mister?" And "Is that a legitimate business maam?"
You know, the usual.
The girl next to me is so good at making small talk. People are like, "Katie, you have a lot of dead air, ask them about their day or something"

His show depresses me rather than makes me laugh, because it's an endless parade of forced, avoidable scenes of humiliation. Everyone laughs at him when he is humiliated, but he's the main character, and in most drama since Thespis first stepped out of the chorus line, you're supposed to root for/empathize with the main character. So I only feel embarrassed for him.
Same with Ralph Kramden or Eunice Higgins (Carol Burnett). In almost every episode/sketch written about them, they fail, or lose, or are humiliated. At least Ralph has Trixie to forgive him and let him molest her in the last scene, but Eunice only has her abusive mother to lord her failures over her every day. Woo hoo, comedy gold!

Secret word of the week.
Curb is great and I question how much of it you've watched. (I mean if you don't like it it's understandable if you haven't watched much.) Actually I can't be bothered you're entitled to not like it and I can't put into words what I think is wrong with your description so forget it. Writing is too hard. You probably see it a different way and nobody's opinion is an objective fact. But I find it hilarious.

You're right I haven't watched much at all, and my impressions are not authoritative. I may have missed all the brilliant stuff and only seen a few episodes where he says something like an asshole that any sane person would have stopped themselves from saying, if only to avoid a scene. I like farce and comedy of errors, but not if the way things go out of control isn't believable to me. Maybe I only saw a couple of sillier eps.
