I feel like I'm going to fall over all the time

Post by CaptainWacky »

Have been still getting burning feeling in my stomach and more often lately in my throat and mouth (heartburn?) Was prescribed stuff a week ago but it didn't work, had the burning feeling last night and still had it in the morning. Got through to another doctor on the phone today and was prescribed a stronger thing to reduce my stomach acid, have only taken one so far (an hour ago!) so not going to declare if it's working or not. But still want to know what's causing it all. Blood and stool (yes I handed in some shit!) tests came back normal.

This has nothing to do with the balance thing which was due to an ear infection. Well I don't think so anyway.

I hope it's just a reaction to NATALIE's timeless beauty and that it settles down soon.

It can take a couple weeks for acid reducers to really start working. Keep taking them as prescribed and they will work!

Still have burning after eating. I know it's only been a day, but the doctor said I should start seeing a difference fast.

My mouth was on fire earlier, then I had a frozen pizza (I cooked it) for dinner and...my mouth got better? Does pizza defeat stomach acid?

The burning feeling came back (even after taking the medication again.)

Tomato sauce has a lot of acid in it. Do you like oatmeal? It's supposed to help with acid reflux.

I did a massive shit before bed, woke up several times in the night with weird stomach feelings, did another massive shit in the morning. No idea what's going on. Still have a bitter taste in mouth but it's not as strong or burny as yesterday. Some chest pain when eating.

That is disturbing. I hope you feel better soon and that the doctors can give you some answers and or relief.

The hearburn has gotten better but the chest pain is still there. Worried the stomach acid has done permanent damage or something.

Could it be acid reflux?

Will watching all of Karen Gillan's appearances on Craig Ferguson help?

Five days of taking the medication (ten pills) and I'm still getting reflux symptoms (burning feeling in throat right now and sore chest.)

This is what I was prescribed: https://www.nhs.uk/medicines/omeprazole/

Oh, just googled it and got this...
You should start to feel better within 2 to 3 days. It may take up to 4 weeks for omeprazole to work properly, so you may still have some acid symptoms during this time. If you're self-treating, tell your doctor if you feel no better after taking omeprazole for 2 weeks.
I can't wait another three weeks!
