I take that. It works pretty well for me, hope it does the same for you and quickly.

That's what I take when I have a bad case of heartburn. It does take awhile to work, but in the meantime you should be more careful of what you eat. Try to avoid eating anything that has a lot of acid, like citrus and tomatoes. I don't know if you drink Coke or other soft drinks, but some of those have acid in them too.

I just want to know why the heartburn isn't going away? Like it's "away" right now but only because of the medication. My mind automatically thinks it's being caused by something really bad. I feel like I've got a lot of saliva or phlegm or whatever in my mouth right now. Still have a bit of pain when swallowing liquid. I spoke to the doctor this morning and she seemed to think there wasn't much to worry about and I should call her again in three weeks.
Anyway I guess I just have to wait and can only complain again if symptoms get worse, sorry for moaning about EVERYTHING I just hate being human really.

You're good. This is a safe place to vent.
I have to take it every day, or I have issues. These things pop up as you get older sometimes.

It's still annoying how you can't like posts here!
I don't feel heartburn today but I feel vomit in my throat instead. I guess that's a good sign because normally there would be acid in the vomit burning my mouth. And I haven't been sick or anything.
Chest still hurts, hope it's just a muscle thing.

Another big heartburn attack today, hadn't ate anything too unusual, took my medication as normal. MY INSIDES ARE ALL WRONG.

If it's not better soon, you might see about getting the dose adjusted.

And sometimes I wonder if it's heartburn or if my mouth is just naturally sore and burny all the time.
My right pec(!) still hurts but I don't think that would be heartburn WOULD IT.

It feels like the stomach acid is under control thanks to the medication, but I still get a feeling of sickness or too much saliva in my mouth after eating. And I still have this pain in my right PEC REGION when I drink cold liquid and everything online says heartburn is under your BREASTBONE but this isn't my breastbone it's to the right of that SO WHAT IS IT.

Well when i googled it says it depends on where the grapes are grown. i felt bad after eating some red grapes so I assumed it was acid.

I went off the Omeprazole a week ago. I was feeling fine for the first few days but now I feel ill again. Guess I'll be on it permanently and it'll give me stomach cancer or whatever side effect I'm scared of.

I don't know what the brand name for famotidine is over there (here it is Pepcid), but it's over the counter and I don't think it has the same warnings for long term use as omeprazole. I take it sometimes.

I think I have a hiatal hernia but I'll never convince the doctor to test me for anything because they just want to give you pills and get you to leave them alone.
