The boats were not as crowded also.
However it is still hot and especially miserable in the afternoon.
I felt overheated today and laid down in the luggage area on top of my towel cooling myself off with ice.
Mostly I am tired from being up late for 2 firework shows. Tomorrow is a day off. Whew.

I start work again later today after 4 days off.

I'm a middle aged adult but I still feel like we should all have summers off from work, like we had from school when we were kids...

That would be amazing. It makes me think of Mad Men-where they would all go to some resort or a cabin in the woods for the month of August because it was too hot to work.

A passenger on the boat yesterday told me that all of the problems we have are because AC was created-brings everyone in doors, nobody hanging out on porches.

I'm like-dude it is way too hot not to live w/out AC. But I got his point. A little. I like Eggs idea of having the summer off. I am for slowing us all down.

I should be asleep, but I worked at the Ruby tonight and now I'm up and I have to be at work at 7 in the morning. Actually 7:30, I get there any time between 7and 7:30 when its an office day.

Dude, I was out of there by 7. Only 1 hour. (I live only blocks away. I don't care)
Also-I have already worked 42 hours at my full time job and will put in another 8 tomorrow with them AND go back to the Ruby. I am exhausted just thinking about it. Sunday and Monday are 12 hour days-but there are stretches in the afternoon that should be easier-I will take full advantage of those times.
