Thats nice!

I got to the theater tonight and my manager was not there. The owner was covering. Which I was actually glad. But then he went into his 70 hour work week. Wtf.

Also, guess what? I looked at the schedule...and I wasn't even scheduled for Saturday.

Yeah nobody is interested in how these people work that much, walked up both way to work in the show with no shoes.

OMG He totally walked too.

I will say that he did give me a nice break, I actually came home, ate, did some dishes, fed Bela, watered some plants then went back to work. He had closed out my til for me, given me my tips then he took a break, AND HE WALKED BACK FROM HIS HOUSE! LOL
And then he let me go early too, So he isn't all bad. Just a little.

Maybe people in general calm down a little after the AUTUMN EQUINOX HARVEST MOON THING and the weather cools off a little...

Unless they are corporate types needing brilliant PowerPoint presentations, then THEY ARE ANIMULES YEAR ROUND lol.

Yesterday was supposed to be a slower day, which is why I brought giraffey on board-also it was the captain's birthday the day prior so we put giraffey in the captains chair for when he arrived to work.

THEN the other boat broke down so we took on thier passengers and it was a busier day, but it turned out okay that I had giraffey because the kids liked him and some of the adults even.

Now people are texting me asking if I can cover thier shifts. Of course I am going to say yes, but I still need to find a winter job or secure a situation and of course I want time off also after this long summer.I hate just covering for other people who want time off!
Does that sound wierd?

Not at all. There comes a point where it can feel like they're taking advantage of your flexibility.

Make sure to take care of your own needs if they keep tugging at you. Don't get shut out of opportunities.

Very true.
I know I am reaching my limit right now where I need some rest.

BUT
I also need to secure some winter employment and would prefer to stay local rather than head to Seattle for the winter-tho a small part of me wants to do that too.

SO I posted on one of our local FB pages asking if anyone is willing to hire for temporary positions at this point-since so many are looking for workers and some peoples summer seasonal employment has just ended and I GOT A RESPONSE! From a local website design person who is looking for a personal assistant.

Guess who also works for her?! THAT GIRL THAT GOT ME THE THEATER JOB! The one that moved away and she has her own art page now. She always tells me to apply at that place and I think, "But I can't do website design stuff, nor do I want to" But be a personal assistant?! I WANT TO!
