The Tiny House

Post by Mirah »

I've been telling myself I wouldn't mind living in a tiny house. Idealy I would love a tiny house that had an outdoor space nice enough to entertain people, like 2 or 3.
So tonight I get an offer to rent one on my friend's property and immedietly I realize I would have to sell or give away or store some furniture. I am not ready to live in a tiny house and get rid of everything! OR AM I?

Could you do it? What would make you say yes?

I'm a chronic saver so it would be hard for me lol. But maybe you could throw some things away, and find a friend with a little space in their garage/basement to store your more cherised stuff?

I could live in a tiny house, but I don't know what I would do with the stuff. There's lots of stuff that I don't need or even use, there's stuff that was my grandma's, my great grandma's, and my great great grandma's. Most of that stuff is small, so could go in a tiny house, I guess. Like 1950's vases and that sort of thing. IDK.

Same. Oh my gosh, I am just thinking about all of my stuff in my apt storage. I don't think I can afford what they are asking for the monthly here anyway, but it is fun to dream.
I am staying in it for this week and I have already learned that I needed to completely unpack my bags and utilize the shelves and drawers because it really is too small to just have my suitcase sitting out.
Also this place sort of feels like a motor home-with a 2nd floor.
The 2nd floor is only 4ft tall!

Oh-and I keep hitting my leg or arm on stuff, I am sure the longer I am here the less that would happen??

I am doing a load of laundry and the whole place is shaking!

the second photo isn't showing up for me...

It's bright with lots of windows at least (unless you prefer more privacy) ;)

I like the windows. It has a view of the mountain.
This also sits on the property of the Nursery, so people are walking around, but not really close to the house.

I don't think I could live in a tiny home. As somebody who is tall and not thin, I need room.
