I am leaving the house to go shopping in the next town over and I have no idea how to dress over here anymore. It is September, I think I can still wear shorts-I won't need my swimsuit because I won't be randomly jumping in any lakes, or will I? Should I wear long pants instead? Shoes with socks? Sandals? I HAVE NO IDEA!

I had posted about the smoke on twitter-

and someone said on thier page, but not as a reply to my post, they said they don't complain about the smoke because they are a fire survivor so when someone complains about smoke they are complaining about someone loosing everything.

Um.....not always. I didn't respond to them because it isn't worth it. It sucks that they lost everything and it is obvious they haven't healed from it, but I mean it doesn't lessen anyone elses experience. Sheesh.

It's been somewhat unpleasant. I started wearing the KN95 masks, which I am not a fan of (they're not comfortable) since they're better for the smoke. Regular masks do shit for the smoke.

That's just wrong. Most fires start in the middle of a forest and some of them never reached populated areas. That's like someone who paid off their student loans complaining about student loan forgiveness. I understand the pain but it's misguided.

Yes the N95 masks work well for the smoke. What I always learned is that it is not designed so we can spend hours upon hours outside-it is just to help in the times we have to be outside hopefully for short periods.
I had mine ready to wear last week when it was really bad here, but it wasn't as bad on the boat as I thought it would be.

Thanks Eggs, I couldn't wrap my head around it.

Still only in the upper 60s overnight but the humidity went up to 90%. AC is back on.
